How it all started

I delved into the world of LEGO at the age of 3, thanks to my dad's travels for international research trips.

What began as a childhood pass-time evolved into a passion nearly 27 years later, leading me to become a Lego Artist.

Nowadays, my mom joins me as a creative partner, and together we spend weekends building new creations.

My LEGO City

Over the last few months, I am building the largest LEGO city in India, spanning over 400 sqft, set on a huge pillar-less room at my home.

This city, currently without a name, embodies my vision of an ideal human habitat, featuring extravagant designs harmonizing with nature and showcasing my love for trains.

My mom also contributes as a co-builder in shaping this city.

Made this LEGO installation for launch of LEGO second store in India, in Bengaluru. Featuring some of BLR's iconic places, the mural is made of over 1.1 Lac+ LEGO bricks.

Its on display at Ground Floor, Orion Mall, BLR

This was a roller-coaster project, to put it honestly - because a lot went south, but the moment people appreciate it, everything feels worth.

IFP has a new home, bigger and better ❤️

Packed up dreams, rolled out blueprints, and here we are - in a space we designed from scratch, now filled with stories waiting to be written.

LEGO's first certified store in India was opening, and there is no way I could stay calm.

So when the LEGO team called for putting an entire installation in just 3 weeks, I knew I had to do it.

More than 67K bricks, and over tens of design iterations later - here it is ❤️.

From making @aforavii travel all the way to Germany to pick my bricks, to @mannvijaymusic helping with designing, to getting mom and dad to plan every small detail, to getting team at IFP help building it, to getting @rjmegha give the final touches, and brothers @martin2611 & @bhumildotcom bringing it to life and capturing - this has been an incredible team to work with - where everyone just poured their heart selflessly.

MADE THIS BEAUTY WITH 52184 LEGO BRICKS ❤️ currently displaying at Hyundai Pavilion at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Delhi.

Making a 1:330 scale model of Hyundai's upcoming Talegaon plant was both - challenging and satisfying.

Challenging because something like this was never attempted before anywhere in the world at this scale, and that too to be ideated and delivered in 30 days!

Satisfying because I got to work with coolest co-artists - my parents, who worked relentlessly for last 1 month in building it all up - and @rjmegha & @dsdmbrickstudio who were all help in putting it together.

Enter mid 30s with a lot of realisations,and knowing that year is just a number!

Maybe we're creating to make it 'viral' but not timeless. Consuming content feels painful since you're bound to be disappointed - and if not, you wouldn't even remember it in a few days.

I am not sure if we'll make another Citizen Kane, ever.

I bet you noticed this so many times, but maybe always blamed your luck?

It's actually a word and I'm glad there is now valid acceptance seeping in for information overload. We all feel this continously, often making us terrible.

Writing a thread after almost 30 months because I was tired staying relevant on social - and it was the best feeling. Sure I missed making a lot of new connections and discoveries, but who cares!

Of whatever world I have seen, HK would probably have one of the best vibes. Cluttered yet platonic - the city speaks to you.

Unlike other mega cities that never sleep, HK sleeps. The streets are empty by 11pm. In between all the glam LEDs and neons, it feels the city is hiding some secrets from you - that you might never unearth as a tourist.

Many shades at IFP Fest. There are atleast ten different emotions I experience at fest each year:
Pride, Anxiety, Happiness, Envy, Contentment, Fear, Love, Gratitude, Frustation, Excitement & Amusement.

Over the years, I have realised these are inevitable. You feel them so differently on those days. Its like you are sleeplessly bubbling with all of these one after another.

Lot of people to thank. Lot of gratitude for so many people. When people with right energy come together, wonders happen.

I was 11 year old when I read the first Harry Potter and experienced it’s incredibly immersive world. But what it takes to create such a wonderful world? I’ll tell you - 4801 LEGO Bricks.

The joy of making Gringotts™️ Wizarding Bank took me back to the Diagon Alley in Deathly Hallows P2 where Harry, Ron & Hermione are attempting to infiltrate the bank to defeat Voldemort.

It took me and my mom almost 22 hours to complete this one, and I’m truly impressed by the level of detailing designers have put in this one - a definitely must have for Harry fans.

Every few kilometres, Egypt changes - From people to thoughts to food and geography. Within 7 days, it was like roaming 7 different countries. #egypt

This post is a testament that when you keep pursuing something relentlessly for 24x7, even a hobby can become your gateway to creating an ASIA Record, and probably a World Record someday!!

When @hyundaiindia team approached me in May, little did I know how would I pull this off. There was a random plan on paper but sheer determination. I used to work late nights, often 16+ hours in a stretch to learn every Lego Software I could, to design and trash numerous times, to understand import/export laws and what not. There was some stress and a lot of anxiety. NOTHING LIKE THIS WAS ATTEMPTED BEFORE in India.
.
And that was the chance!
.
Looking back, it feels so elated, that it all fell in place. I got the best team to work with, best support from every stakeholder, best resources at hand and everything that could go wrong, went right.
.
Here's to more such feats, making a land of billion people realise that your hobbies are worth fighting for. Making every kid realise that infinite is possible with your creativity.

What started as a slide on a PPT for reveal of Hyundai Exter, actually went through a crazy and sleepless process of designing for over a month, learning new softwares all night, procuring such a huge quantity of Lego to India, putting the 3 Lac bricks together to avoid even a single mistake with a team of 25 enthusiasts, and finally climbing 18 feet on a hot day to install it at Cyberhub Gurgaon (Its going to be there till Sep 17).

WE BUILT OUR DREAM HOME!
Not just a home, a wishful place that has everything that we ever wanted. A space that is so huge that we literally have to call each other to find who is in which room!
.
The reason I'm so excited for this is because silently it took a lot of hard work, sweat, blood, patience and perseverance across so many years, without any complain of course, to have a place that is an extension to my and Megha's identity. And we did it without any compromise, on our own terms.
.
I've been barely on social media for last few months because we were busy designing this home ourselves & coordinating with carpenters and plumbers and electricians, spending almost last 8 months of our lives behind largest of planning and smallest of detailing.
.
While Megha gets a lot of insta-worthy spaces across the home, I get my 800sqft Lego room, which is kinda dream to fill now (second last pic)
.
And the cherry on the cake is convincing elders to move with us, and continuously thanking our parents to make us capable enough that we've such moments of achievements in our lives!

Recreated @davidcoulthardf1 's F1 helmet using 2200 Lego bricks, 106 hours and 12 sleepless nights for #redbullshowrunmumbai

I was very excited when @redbullindia team asked me to create this but the excitement faded away when I realised this one wasn't going to be an easy one.
.
What I estimated to be a 30-40 hour build went on for more than 100 hours amidst all the chaotic days. The only time I could work on this was after 10pm and on most days till 4am.
.
I can definitely say it was the most challenging and anxious build of my life but such a rewarding one when David told me that it's really impressive and I should attempt recreating his F1 car next.
.
❤️ for my co-builders my mom and dad, else this would have been 200+ hours.

⭐️ for @fahama_s @gauravgjain and entire RB team for always pushing my boundaries. You guys put dent into culture everyday and the ShowRun's brilliance was unmatched 🤩.

I am going to love you and hate you for being the crazy most year of my life. I expected you to be smooth as butter but you were coarse as cheese, yet yummy. You've prepared me to actually not expect anything from 2023. You've prepared me to rock and roll 🤘🏻

You might think whats in it to celebrate, I will say - a struggle for over a decade and a half.

People close to me have seen me fight it, give up and again fight. And now, 100 flights does feel like an achievement.

This weekend was magically surrounded by over 500 kids who visited @sundaybricks 's Lego city on display at @amazeum.in Pune. The cherry on cake was the train ride and we couldn't stop ourselves from capturing this shot! @playdad_india

Last week I attempted something that I dreaded a day before the shoot since it required what I have the least - patience.
.
It all started with one phone call in June from @fahama_s / @redbullindia for celebrating Max's Double World Championship and the idea for using Lego blocks as dominos took us two months to crack. The shoot got pushing due to IFP and then being down with dengue.
.
But I never thought it will become something I will be so proud about.
.
43,000 bricks later, I have some patient people to thank.
.
@rohanahalpara my Lego smuggler for getting me those 42kgs of bricks from Canada when he had more important stuff to carry.
.
@bhumildotcom for being the one who goes extra mile to make such projects happen even when we have time and resource crunch, because of his love for this kind of stuff. @sooochak

@pixelcurves and kid Yug for being super support during shoot days and taking care of everything that I couldnt.
.
@toddenindia for being such a great venue and supportive team for shoot. We loved every bit of our time there.

My team back at office and my mom dad who helped me sort and put those 43,000 bricks into 8,000+ dominos. It was the toughest thing to do and now I got no one to break them back.

A lot of people to thank, a lot of whistles to blow.
.
In last 12 years, this season of IFP has been the toughest to pull off, not because of scale but because of everything that could go wrong, went wrong.
.
We made a bet on wrong people, undercounted on right people, gathered courage and lost it multiple times, put our best plan and decided to call it all off very next hour, made hasty decisions, got medical emergencies, faced internal conflicts and to top it all, the rains played the best spoilsport ever.
My learning - nothing can topple the spirit of 'keep going' when you are prepared for both, best and worst outcomes. This fest was exactly that.

Everyday I used to walk into office to realise that there were so many people who were working tirelessly 16 hours a day for months altogether, without a single day off, to make this happen, and without a single wrinkle on their face, they kept the show going. @gaurav_the_stranger @secretlyaretard @danishshaikhfilms @s_agrawal21 @vedanti_poddar @palash__acharya @meeetwa @idarshdevalpalli @meghnaparmar_ @niju_suthar @ajmeravipul you were there at midnight on saddest of days and in the noon of the brightest, assuring me that together, we'll do our best.

I still can't believe the energy, the vibe we created last weekend at IFP Season 12. It was mesmerising to be present between thousands of creators, who travelled from over 75 cities and 3 countries to celebrate creativity x culture.

It is one of those moments when I genuinely feel proud of myself looking in the mirror, of how @ifp.world has touched so many lives and continues to impact massively ❤️

I jokingly tell people, the cost of our festival's one single billboard is more than the entire budget of first IFP I did. Last 11 years have made me go through every possible human emotion at work - We've seen victories when our small ideas got much love, we've felt proud everytime we built more than what we could, we've seen disappointment when our big plans failed, we've seen glory when people sent us love, we've seen anger, we've felt heartbreaks when we lost or let go people, we've seen love that people shower in our inbox and all of this is way more than what anyone can ask for.

I can't even make a thank you list anymore, and it feels less like achievement, because of so sooo many people who've put sleepless nights, trust, ownership and hope and owned up IFP like their own baby. From team I spend more time than family to brands who've pushed us to go global to partners who've travelled the same boat with us to our families who've let us build what we loved.

I'am teary eyed while writing this post because last 11 years and innumerable moments of love pass through my eyes in a flash and it's a self testimonial that we've together done something worthwhile.

To the next decade and more of growing with this young sibling called IFP :)
